This underground production has to date not attracted funding. It will reach a small but potentially appreciative audience because its about an aspect of British society that occupies a blind spot. Hence there is no budget for payment or expenses, just as there wasn't one to research or write the script. There is a modest fund for location hire and, if the finished product is good enough, a limited number of festival entries.

So why would you collaborate? Firstly because if there is any tangible return from the joint venture, all participants will share in it. Secondly, the customary rewards apply: the use of the material for reels, and credit. Both acting and producer credits are available depending on the extent of involvement or investment. Thirdly, if you'd like to make a personal statement against autocracy and institutionalised inequality, here's your chance. The theme is explored through the story of someone who stood up in opposition, and the consequences he faced.

The action of the script takes place between 10pm and dawn. Ideally principal photography would closely mirror this for authenticity, but is more likely to be completed over two evenings and nights, between 9pm and 2am. Refreshments and a rest area will be provided.

Dates will depend on the level of interest and individual schedules.

A 30 minute video is available to assist with character development. There will be a virtual table read via Zoom or Teams if that can be arranged. The script will be made available once a film confidentiality agreement has been signed. If you’re asked to complete one, you're shortlisted.

If anyone is interested in volunteering as a production assistant, boom operator, camera assistant, or producer, make contact.

A location is likely to be available in North Norfolk. However, if anyone reading this has access to one or two offices, ideally connected by a corridor, let me know.
